VC Funding In CEE reached over €900M in the 2nd quarter of 2021

According to the VC Funding In CEE Report- 2Q 2021 recently published by Vestbee - a matchmaking platform for startups and investors in Central & Eastern Europe, the number of fully disclosed investments in the CEE region in 2nd quarter reached over 190 and exceeded €900M in total funding.

According to the report, the most popular industries in 2Q 2021 included Ecommerce, Fintech, Analytics, Cyber Security, Automotive, AI, Big Data, Media. In terms of the number of funding rounds Poland and Estonia were the most active countries, securing 118 and 21 rounds respectively. 

The biggest investment was raised by the first Lithuanian unicorn Vinted (Series F - €250M), followed by another unicorn Rohlik (Czech Republic, Series C - €100M), Uncapped (Poland, Series B - €66M), Productboard (Series C - €60.5M), and Veriff (Estonia, Series B - €58M). 

The most active investors in the region were Fil Rouge Capital, Smok Ventures, Next Road Ventures, Knowledge Hub, Accel, Early Game Ventures, Lighthouse Ventures.
